Some language schools in the Philippines run TOEIC preparation courses, and some advertise a score guarantee. We read the guarantee conditions on schools’ official pages. If you need IELTS, see our IELTS article instead. Checked on 31 October 2026.
In short
TOEIC is a workplace English test, and which test you need depends on the school or employer you apply to. In BLOOM ABROAD’s listing data, 18 schools in the Philippines offer TOEIC courses, and the one score guarantee for TOEIC that we could confirm on an official page is at Cebu International Academy. Read its conditions before you apply.
How TOEIC Listening & Reading works
For the whole picture of studying in the Philippines, see our guide to studying English in the Philippines. This article looks at TOEIC courses and guarantee conditions. If you need IELTS, read IELTS preparation in the Philippines instead.
ETS describes the TOEIC Listening and Reading test as assessing intermediate to advanced English listening and reading skills needed in the workplace. According to the official IIBC page (in Japanese), you answer 200 questions in about two hours, and the result is a score from 10 to 990, not a pass or fail.
ETS says TOEIC is delivered through local ETS Preferred Network offices in more than 150 countries. Whether a school, employer or visa process accepts TOEIC varies, so ask the organization which test and which kind of score it wants before you choose a course.

Course format: lessons and mock tests
Here are four schools whose official pages describe the lessons. Lesson numbers and mock-test frequency are as the schools write them.
- Genius English Academy: two options, six lessons a day (four one-to-one TOEIC lessons and two group lessons) or eight lessons a day (six one-to-one and two group). Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 17:00.
- EV Academy: one-to-one lessons in Reading, Listening, Vocabulary and Grammar, and group lessons in Reading and Listening. A new student who scores below 400 joins a preparatory course, and moves to TOEIC group classes after reaching 400 in a weekly mock test.
- HELP English Academy: four one-to-one lessons a day within a Sparta-style timetable, with three levels set by your starting score. In HELP’s fee table, the IELTS and TOEIC courses cost USD 1,050 for four weeks at Basic and Intermediate and USD 1,150 at Advanced.
- Cebu International Academy: Pre TOEIC from one week, Regular from four weeks and Guarantee from 12 weeks. The timetable shows a daily test from 7:20 and 45-minute periods.
Schools listed with a score guarantee
In BLOOM ABROAD’s listing data, five schools are listed with a score guarantee. The listing does not say which test the guarantee covers.
On the official pages, the guarantees at HELP (two campuses), Genius and EV were for IELTS courses. HELP’s FAQ, for example, says that for its IELTS Guarantee courses, a student who follows the rules but misses the target gets free tuition until the target is reached, while room, meals and local fees are still paid. We could not find a TOEIC guarantee on those three schools’ official pages.
The next section reads the conditions at Cebu International Academy, where we could confirm a TOEIC guarantee. For other schools’ guarantees, the questions in our IELTS article also apply.

What to check before you apply
When comparing courses with a guarantee, check these five points in writing.
- Which test the guarantee covers (TOEIC or IELTS), and whether it means the public test or an institutional test
- What the benefit is (refund, free lessons, extension) and how many times you can claim it
- The conditions (attendance, mock tests, number of warnings) and what happens if you fall short of them
- Whether any refund or free lessons cover housing, meals and local fees
- What the figures in the score table mean (starting score or target score)
