Content use
This is a translation for reference. In the event of any discrepancy, the Japanese version shall prevail.
If you credit the source, you may use BLOOM ABROAD articles and pages as described below. You do not need to notify us or ask for permission.
1. What you may do
- Link to any page, including direct links to articles
- Quote part of an article, or summarize, introduce or translate a summary of it (blogs, social media, classes, internal documents, newsletters, videos, etc.)
- Share screenshots of a page on social media (as long as it is clearly part of the page, and without removing the logo or source)
- Let AI search and answer services read our articles and cite them as a source
Reading for AI training is also not blocked in robots.txt at present. If we change this, we will announce it on this page and in robots.txt.
2. How to credit
Please show the article title, the date checked and the URL in this form:
Source: BLOOM ABROAD, "Article title" (checked date) URL
The date checked is the last verified date for news and the updated date for blog articles. The "Cite with source" button on each article copies a ready-to-paste line (text, link only or HTML).
3. Please don't
- Republish articles in full or in large part (in a way that makes reading the original unnecessary)
- Reuse our photos, diagrams or card images (photographers hold rights to the photos)
- Bulk-collect content by automated means, or redistribute it as a database or another site
- Imply that BLOOM ABROAD endorses or partners with you, or alter our logo or badges
4. Primary sources
Our news is based on official announcements by governments, public bodies and schools. Before you apply for anything, please also check the official source named in the article. When you quote us, naming that source as well helps your readers check it.
5. Errors and other uses
Please contact us through the contact form. This page is the "content use" referred to in Articles 5, 6 and 8 of the Terms of Use.
