Limit of a stay without a visa (in any 180 days)
Japanese citizens with an ordinary passport may stay without a visa for up to 90 days in any 180-day period.
A longer stay needs a visa or a residence permit.
The passport must be valid for at least three months after the planned departure date and must have been issued within the previous 10 years.
