St. Margaret's School, founded in 1908 in Victoria, is a private girls' school from JK to Grade 12, with boarding from Grade 7. It is the only girls' boarding school on Canada's west coast and pioneered girls' STEM education in the country, weaving STEM across all subjects. An IB World School on the BC curriculum, it has all Grade 11 students take the IBDP, with about 450 students and 20-25% international. Extensive ELL support, including in-class help, evening tutoring, and IELTS preparation, plus alumnae at Harvard, Columbia, and UCLA, make it appealing to STEM-minded girls.
