Westpac Life: up to 5.75% p.a. for ages 18-40 with the Spend&Save offer (on balances up to A$150,000, with monthly deposit and balance-growth conditions). Otherwise up to 5.00% p.a.

계좌 개설

Apply online from 14 days before arrival. Japanese passport holders are not eligible for online ID verification (Smart Verify), so you verify at a branch after arrival. Cards are mailed to your registered address in 5-10 business days.

TFN

Without a TFN, interest is taxed at the top withholding rate — register your TFN once you have it.
