Up to 25 hours a week in study, full-time in holidays

You can work part-time up to 25 hours a week while studying and full-time in the holidays.

You show you can pay living costs of NZD 20,000 for each year (study of a year or more) or NZD 1,667 for each month (study of under a year).

Ages 18 to 30, up to 12 months

Japanese citizens aged 18 to 30 are eligible and can stay up to 12 months.

Funds of NZD 4,200 or more

The fee starts from NZD 770. You show that you have at least NZD 4,200 to cover your living expenses.

Up to 3 months at a time

Japan is a visa waiver country, so a visit of less than 3 months needs no visitor visa. On an NZeTA you can stay up to 3 months at a time and up to 6 months within any 12-month period.

NZeTA costs NZD 17 to 23
