First English Global Coll⁠e⁠g⁠e 

First English Global College is a language school on Mactan Island, Cebu. It opened in 2013. The classrooms are in a building with security in Mactan Newtown. According to the school, it is about 15 minutes by car from the airport.

According to the school, more than 60% of students come for parent-and-child study. Children aged 4 to 12 can take classes when a parent comes along. Children aged 0 to 3 can stay with a babysitter. A school doctor is also available.

The standard GENERAL course has six one-on-one classes and two group classes a day. There is also a course with eight one-on-one classes only. Courses for Eiken, IELTS and TOEIC and courses for children are offered too. According to the school, you can build your own timetable, and quick-translation drills (turning Japanese into English on the spot) are popular.

You stay in a condominium or a share-house dorm. The share house is about five minutes by car from the classrooms, and Filipino teachers live there too. Families stay in the condominiums only. A light breakfast is served on weekdays. Lunch and dinner boxes cost extra.

Students aged 18 or over have no curfew. Students under 18 cannot go out from Monday to Thursday (except within Mactan Newtown).

It suits parents who want to study abroad with young children, and adults who want to set their own timetable.

According to the school, rooms fill up in peak season. For family stays and school holidays, check availability early. The school is not an official English test center.
