In the Federal Register of 1 October 2026, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) gave notice that the ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) fee will be adjusted for inflation. The fee for an approved ESTA rises from USD 40.27 to USD 40.62, and the new fee applies from 16 October 2026, 15 days after publication.

美國國土安全部（DHS）於2026年10月7日發布規則草案，擬對允許F-1留學生在就學期間或畢業後工作的OPT（Optional Practical Training）制度收取新費用。根據草案，首次OPT每名學生7萬美元（USD 70,000），之後的OPT每名學生3萬美元（USD 30,000）。目前仍處於「草案」階段，尚未定案。意見徵詢至2026年11月9日止。
