Global Village English Centres is a large chain with two Canadian campuses, both in city centres: Victoria and Calgary. Students gather from about 20 countries, general English is organized into eight levels, and exam preparation is a strength, spanning TOEFL, IELTS, and Cambridge courses, plus a TESOL teacher-training option. A dedicated activity coordinator organizes events almost daily, so there is plenty of social life beyond class. It appeals to learners choosing between two distinct cities while pursuing test scores or qualifications.
