Philinter Acad⁠e⁠m⁠y 

Philinter is a language school on Mactan Island, Cebu. It opened in 2003 and is close to Mactan-Cebu International Airport. According to the school, the campus is spacious and has a swimming pool.

Classes are 45 minutes. There are Sparta courses where you cannot go out on weekdays, and courses where you can go out after class. Intensive ESL has 10 classes a day, including four one-on-one classes. General ESL has eight classes a day, and you are free to go out after school.

According to the school, about half of its students study IELTS, and many need a score for further study. The school says it has a teacher with an IELTS score of 9.0. There is also an eight-week intensive Premium course, which requires a level test to enter.

Dorm rooms are for one to three people. Three meals a day are served, including weekends. Rooms are cleaned twice a week for free. Laundry is twice a week and costs extra. Electricity is 2,400 pesos for four weeks, with extra charges for heavy use.

It suits people who want an IELTS score for further study, and those who want to study intensively in a short time. People who want relaxed conversation practice may find the schedule heavy.
