Langara College, adjacent to Langara Station about 15 minutes from downtown Vancouver, is a leading public college for university transfer, with a track record of sending more transfer students to UBC than any other institution. Over 80% of its degree-track students take transfer courses across more than 90 programs, among roughly 16,000 students, of whom about 10% are international from some 115 countries. It is also the only BC public college offering the Nursing Practice in Canada program, and two-year career programs qualify graduates to apply for post-graduation work permits—a strong option for transfer-focused students.
