ANZ's app-based account now offered to new personal customers. There is no monthly fee, and the linked Growth Saver pays 5.10% p.a. when you grow your balance by A$100+ each month. Opening requires an Australian address, an Australian mobile number and an in-app selfie check, so you open it after arrival. Despite being app-first, you can still get support at ANZ branches.
